You know how until you have a need for something, you don’t think of that ‘something’s’ existence. Well that best describes my need for an alarm clock app for my Mac. Until now, I have never considered even using an alarm clock on my Mac, let alone thinking that an app existed for this already. Personally I have always felt that my iPhone’s built-in alarm clock app, that I intentionally set to the most annoying and most R.E.M obtrusive tone (Alarm), was working just fine, but Alarm Clock for Mac proves me wrong.
So I have some favorite features of this app:
- The use of the Apple remote, because to be honest with you mine Apple remote has simply collected dust in it’s original packaging until now
- The “easy wake” with progressive alarm tone volume. (Too bad, they don’t have easy sleep, as I have more issues falling asleep than waking up, lol)
- Use of any alarm tone for an alarm
I like this app because of it’s sheer simplicity and function. I like apps that just work and Alarm Clock 2 is one of those apps.
Finding the Alarm Clock app for the Mac just proves my theory that maybe Apple needs to expand the “there’s an app for that…” commercials to feature the totally under rated world of Mac apps.
